Responsibilities
- Develops policies and procedures that ensure efficient and responsible operation of the Computational Medicine Center
- Provides financial and administrative oversight of ongoing programs of the Computational Medicine Center
- Assures that funds are spent in a timely fashion and in accordance with budget
- Reviews financial reports and advises the director, principal investigator and administration
- Reviews progress reports and advises the director, principal investigator and administration
- Assures that projects are appropriately funded in accordance with progress meeting timelines and Computational Medicine Center priorities
- Reviews progress and plans related to construction and equipping of Computational Medicine Center facilities, and advises the director, principal investigator and administration
- Reviews all requests for use of Computational Medicine Center funds and resources from:
- The Science and Education Committee
- Administration and investigators of the University of Cincinnati College of Medicine and Cincinnati Children's Hospital Medical Center
- Commercial partners
- Provides input into and review of quarterly reports of the director to the sponsoring institutions and the state
Authorities
- Reallocates funds and other resources to and from existing programs within guidelines of funding agencies
- Allocates Computational Medicine Center funds and resources to new programs as requested by:
- The Science and Education Committee
- University of Cincinnati College of Medicine and Cincinnati Children's Hospital Medical Center administration and investigators
- Commercial partners
- Implements administrative policies that are binding to Computational Medicine Center members and programs
